I recently purchased the product ant I have read the help page for the QUIZ but I am a bit confused as to how to go about creating a quiz and what the relationship between

Question Categories
Question Bank

I have the Quiz Categories and Quiz down but not the rest. Attached is a Venn diagram of what I think the relationship is like.

This doesn't seem to be right though. When I use this ona quiz I don't get scores even though I answer both sample questions correctly and I get "double" questions (a two question category test is 4 questions long in the quiz).

Please enlighten me.

Quiz categories are used to split by category (for example by different topic and etc.).

Question categories are used inside a quiz to separate quiz questions by topics (or levels of difficulty and etc.). It is also possible to select necessary number of questions from each question category. Questions can be created in quizzes directly without question bank.

Question bank is used if you want to use the same questions in different quizzes and edit them only in one place. Question bank is not required if each quiz uses own questions.

Bank categories are used inside bank questions to split questions inside question bank. It helps to separate them by topics, possible to configure a quiz to select necessary number of questions from question bank from selected category and etc.

About score for questions. Check "Score" parameter in question settings. If it is set to 0, users will earn 0 points for correct and incorrect answers (if "Penalty" parameter is also set to 0). For example set "Score" parameter to 1.

Yes, I read the help document but, for me, did not help in establishing the relationships

I think I have established how the relationship works between Bank categories and Question Bank. I also figured out how to import from a bank in to a quiz.

I even managed to resolve the issue of no score by deleting everything in the quiz program and starting again.

Does anyone else have a way to explain how Question Categories are related?

Question categories are inside a quiz. For example it is possible to show results for each category at the end of a quiz, show questions from each category on separate pages, select necessary number of questions from a question category.

Question bank is not obligatory. Use it if want to share the same questions between different quizzes otherwise quizzes can be populated with questions directly. For this select a quiz in "Quizzes" data grid and click by "Questions" button in toolbar or click by "Question" icon in "Actions" column.
