Can a question pool span multiple bank categories or can it only span a question bank within a bank category?

For example it is possible to create "Math" question category and define on "Question pool" parameters section on question category settings page how to select questions from questions bank. For example 5 questions from "Math 1" bank category, 3 questions from "Math 2" bank category and 7 questions from "Math 3" category. In the quiz all questions from this question pool will belong to the question category.
