Copying SQL AriQ data 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 1
Hi, Im about to move my AriQ from an old site to new, but need to copy the AriQ SQL tables - is there an easy way to do this? Now that I'm in PHPmyadmin it doesnt look straightforward? Maybe it's easy but some guidance would be appreciated. TIA

Hello,

PHPMyAdmin supports import/export functionalities. You can export DB tables (structure and data) to SQL file and then use this file to import DB table to another database. Make sure an appropriate DB prefix will be used (J! 2.5 and J! 5 can use different DB table prefix).

Thanks, I think if I want to export the AriQ tables with phpadmin I have to do one at a time? (select table, dump all rows?)

or is there a way to do all of the AriQ tables at once?

can I modify the prefix after import to new J5 DB? - the prefixes are different and this is the bit I am uncertain of.

You can choose as many tables as you want on "Export" tab in PHPMyAdmin:

It will generate .sql file. You can open it in any text editor and use find/replace functionality to change table prefix.

Perfect thanks. I think Ive managed to import the old db into the new, but after installing AQ in the J5 I get:

- Points rules were not installed becased EasySocial component is not installed.

- Extension Install: Custom install routine failure.

Its possible this is because I had some custom coding done by you when I first purchased AQ - not sure, but perhaps I may need to update the new sites code?

Any help appreciated

1. Do you need integration with EasySocial?

2. Could you specify when this error occurs? When install the latest version of "ARI Quiz"? What's custom customization were made?
