I looked through all the threads and couldn't find the answer, sorry if I missed it.

My problem is that my questions are coming up with the punctuation all turned around.

eg.
When a horse rubs his head on your shoulder
what is he telling you?

What shows up on ly published quiz on my site is:

When a horse rubs his head on your shoulder
?what is he telling you


another eg.

Match the correct answers with each other:
A horse thinks in terms of:

What shows up is

Match the correct answers with each other:
:A horse thinks in terms of


Any ideas why it would be doing this?

My site is on localhost so I can't point you to it right now.

It seems that RTL language support is enabled in your site template or it was added by WYSIWYG editor. We can say exactly if we see this problem. Could you create backup of your local site with help Akeeba Backup component and send us by email?
