TOPIC: Using the multiple question and partial points

Using the multiple question and partial points 13 Years, 11 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi.
I need to setup a test that will assess a level of knowledge. Using the multiple question, I need to add a value to each answer. For example. 5 answers, the first will have a value of 20 point, the last a value of 100 point. Using the result scale the user will get a response based on the choices made. My test has 90 questions each with five choices. This is not a right or wrong test, each answer has a value and they all add up to a final score.

I see on the bottom of the multiple question setup the following instructions but I am not clear as to how to add the values on the answer field. Specifically how to use the '[+]' link.

"Indicate answer choices and correct sum total of answer choices. If you want to set different points for answers then indicate the necessary combination of answers and percent of points for appropriate question using '[+]' link (Value should be in range of 0..100. If value is not set then user will not get points for this answer). This value will accrue for user when he selects this answer. Empty answers will be ignored."

Thank you,

Rodolfo

Hello,

Do you want to summarize points for each answer in question? For example:

Question 1

Answer 1 = 5 points

Answer 2 = 10 points

Answer 3 = 15 points

and if a user select "answer 1" and "answer 3", 20 points will be added to summary score?

Yes, that is the idea. From a multiple choice questions if the user selects answer 1 gets 5 points, if he chooses answer 3 gets 15 points. But they only need to choose one answer per question. And that value is added to a final total. The final report will show a result based on the score obtained, something like "..if your score is between 50-75.."

Thank you!

"Single question" can be used for this purpose. It provides possibility to define how many percent of maximum points will be earned by user for each answer.
