Able to open external page in lightbox? 13 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi, I've been looking all over for documentation and can't find an answer on this. I see that I can open a swf file in lightbox, but can I open an external webpage in ari lightbox as well? If so, where would I find documentation on how to do that? Thanks.

Hello,

Documentation can be found on module/plugin settings page in "Description" field. Click "Details help here" link and lightbox with documentation appears:

If you want to use "System - ARI Sexy Lightbox Anywhere" plugin that show external page, use the next code:

Code:

{arisexylightbox activeType="rcontent" width="300" height="250" url="http://www.google.com" link="Show google site" title="Google"}{/arisexylightbox}

If you want to use "System - ARI Sexy Lightbox" plugin, use the following code:

Code:

<a href="http://www.google.com?TB_iframe=true&height=450&width=800" rel="sexylightbox">Gooooogle</a>

ARI Soft

Thanks, thought I'd read it all but missed that part.

Hmmm, I must be doing something wrong. I've read the instructions several times. I put in the code and the window with Google (in the code you gave me) does open at first but then it reloads the whole page and goes to Google (instead of just opening Google in the lightbox). I thought it would keep the content (external page) in the lightbox window (like a modal popup). Is there any way to make this not reload the whole page to a new page?

Trying this from a different route since I don't want the lightbox to open a new window. Instead I am trying to load this as an article instead (using the article plugin code) and put the flash page inside the article. However, there is a title in huge black letters across the top when it opens that says "Articles". Can I somehow get rid of this title? I keep looking to see where it's stored but can't find it.

Could you provide link to page where we can see the problem and temporary access to your Joomla! backend by email that we can investigate it? The extension doesn't add any extra text to content, it can be added by site template or 3rd party extension.
