I have read through many of the articles and am still sort of stuck. I can figure out how to get one directory to show up in every article but I cannot seem to get them to only show up in chosen articles and with the respective gallery. As per a discsssion below I have tried using

{arisexylightbox activeType="imglist" dir="images/testpics" thumbWidth="100"}{/arisexylightbox}

And all it does is display this code on the page. Any suggestions? The plugin is enabled.

If you use a WYSIWYG editor, switch it to plain text mode before inserting plugin code because editors can add extra HTML code or encode inserting code.

Am I missing an obvious reason why there is white on both sides of the new thumbnail. I obviously would like it to be black like the rest of the background.

White background is not part of extension's code. You can see it on screenshot below:



This background is defined for <DIV> container element. It seems this was created by editor.
