I've been trying to figure out how I can link a Vimeo video to an individual Joomgallery photo in category view. I understand there's probably some file in the arisexylightbox folder on my joomla server, and I was thinking that maybe an .ini file would work (?), but I don't know where to start.

I am competent but not advanced in programming, and clearly I do not know how to modify this code manually, at least not yet. I would like to link four different images to four different Vimeo links. How do I do this?

As we know, JoomGallery doesn't support ability to define external links for images so it is possible to use "ARI Sexy Lightbox JoomGallery" plugin to show large images into the lightbox (this is limitation of JoomGallery).

If you want to show Vimeo videos when a user clicks by images, you can use "ARI Sexy Lightbox Anywhere" plugin for this purpose and define image/video one by one. Sample codes can be found here.

Second thought, can I use external links with Ari image slider? Would I just enter the plugin code in the module's description?

It is possible to define external links in INI file for images from "ARI Image Slider". You can read how to do it in "Description" field on "ARI Image Slider" module settings page. It also contains link to a sample INI file.
