I want to make 12 articles with in each article an ari sexylightbox image which pops up surrounded by some text.
Now I'm struggling how to set up such a construction. do I have to make a seperate module for each article? Or is there a simpler way to accomplish this.

Only replace [ARTICLE_ID] with necessary article ID.

thank you very much for taking the time to answer me. Unfortunately I'm in even greater confusion, because I don't understand what you explain.
For instance article 1:
I have a photo in images/stories/schilderijen that i want to pop-up in an article.
So I make the article but how can I get the large image to appear small in the article with the code that you provide?
Sorry, i'm totally confused.

It looks like misunderstanding. If you want to show thumbnail of image into article and display large image in the lightbox, 'System - ARI Sexy Thumbnails' plugin can be used. Install 'ARI Sexy Lightbox' module then install 'System - ARI Sexy Thumbnails' plugin. If 'System - ARI Sexy Lightbox' and/or 'System - ARI Sexy Lightbox Anywhere' plugins are installed, open 'Extensions -> Plugin Manager' page and set order values like on screenshot:



If you use WYSIWYG editor, open an article, insert large image and resize it with help WYSIWYG editor. That's all after this 'System - ARI Sexy Thumbnails' plugin creates thumbnail for large image and will display large in the lightbox.
