1. Yeah, I worry about the blank, because cell phones are severely stretched. And this magazine is focused for tablets and phones.
2.When a page is in HTML I see that you have a margin and the cut goes Frontpage only leaves when in full zoom.
3.When the page is in HTML on cell phones or tablets sale very large texts or images.

Size of a book depends on parameters which defined in template settings on "Styles settings" tab. See "Maximum width", "Minimum width" and "Book height" parameter. White space appears because images are resized saving aspect ratio ("Books settings -> Page image scale" parameter) and some disproportion width "Height" and "Maximum width" and "Minimum width" parameter.

Currently we are working on new version of the extension which will support ability to define base width and height and save aspect ratio when book is resized. It will be available within several days and resolve the problem with white space.

About question #3, you use mixed content, the left page is the image, the right page contains a HTML with some images. Images in books are responsive and due to different screens dimensions on PC monitor and mobile devices, you see images with dimensions adapted to book size. About HTML content on right page, it uses HTML table where width:350px CSS property is defined so it can not be resized less then 350px. Remove this CSS property from the table and content on this page will come responsive too.
