Hi - I guess our data set is growing, and recently some users with slower boxes have been unable to load and display JDataTables. Our table is only 4 columns and 134 rows, from a database. The first column can have up to 128 characters and the last column as many as 512 characters. We're using:

- Joomla! 1.5.18
- ARI Smart Content 1.0.0 with JDataTables

Does this sound right?

Is there anything we can do to speed it up?

One idea: We don't need to sort or filter on the fourth (rightmost) column. Can we omit this from the sort and search/filter capability?

What browser you use? It seems delay occurs in IE browser only.

Yes, it seems to be IE, especially 7 and 8. I have also seen it in Safari on an iPhone, but that is less of a concern. Most of our users are IE, so that is critical. Please let us know how we might fix it.

Also, is it possible to exclude a column from sort and search, but still display it as part of the table? (see original post above)
