Unable to find install package: arismartcontent

Unable to find install package: arismartcontent 13 Years ago Karma: 0
I am running a new Joomla! 1.7.2 installation and the arismartcontent.xml file shews version 1.8.1

When I attempt to upload and install, I get the message "Unable to install package"

I have tried using the _arismartcontent.xml file to see if that made any difference with no success.

Hello,

This message can appear if Joomla! is configured incorrectly. Could you provide temporary access to your J! backend by email so we can investigate the issue?

I have sent you an email, but I have since managed to install using the "Install from Directory" method.

I apologise for not trying this first, but I've never needed to use it before!
