Is there a way to format a row, so when clicked it will display a url based on a specific column ID?

so for example if the column ID named is "apples", you create a link called "Fruit", when clicked it opens a URL apples.html or something like that?

If this is possible could I make the link open in fancybox or sexylightbox? or one of the other Smart Content modules? just to make it look built in and professional.

Yes, it is possible. For example if want to create a link based on ID columns, options data source settings page and set "Columns settings -> ID" parameter to ID value and populate "Columns settings -> Format" parameter with the following value:

<a href="{$columns:ID}.html">{$columns:ID}</a>

It will not work if server side pagination is used. We will add support "ARI Smart Content" lightbox extensions for "ARI Smart Content - Data Table" application till the end of next week (16 January).
