config.php error message 14 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
I had no trouble with my installation or license. However, I am getting the following error, and would like some advice on what needs to be done to fix it:

Warning: fopen(/home/domain/public_html/main/administrator/components/com_arismartcontent/cache/files/config.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/domain/public_html/main/administrator/components/com_arismartcontent/kernel/Cache/class.FileCache.php(18) : eval()'d code on line 1

I believe the problem lies in the fact that there ISN'T a config.php file in that directory at all. When I created a blank file called config.php and uploaded it to this directory, the error message went away, but I want to be sure that this is sufficient to solve any problem this may cause, and not just remove the error.

Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello,

Check, please, the the next folder has writable permissions:

<joomla_dir>/administrator/components/com_arismartcontent/cache/files

Very good. Once I set that directory to writable, and removed the config.php file I hd created, then ran the diagnostic on the component, a new config.php file was created and the error disappeared.

Thank you for your excellent diagnosis.
