I have Ari Smart Content 2.2.25 and Joomla 3.7.0. My ISP tried to upgrade to PHP 7 for me and he reported the following errors:

Deprecated: Methods with the same name as their class will not be constructors in a future version of PHP; plgSystemAriSmartContent has a deprecated constructor in /u3/sidprice/public_html/iatcb.org/plugins/system/arismartcontent/arismartcontent.php
on line 15

They have downgraded the PHP installation. How can we resolve the above issues and upgrade to PHP 7?

Hello,

Download the latest version of the extension (2.2.37) in "Member Area" on our site and upgrade it on your site.

I would have expected Joomla to see an update was available, but it did not. Is there something I need to do to my installation to have this happen,

Well it looks like the update did not resolve all the issues. I see the following error when I go to my Joomla site admin area:

Download and update the extension again.

PS: Currently the extension doesn't support Joomla! updates. It will be implemented in a future version.
