I am experiencing a problem with our website and would appreciate your help for one more time.

On the homepage (www.icarus-be.com/) I see a message on top appearing :
Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in /opt/www/icarus/web/www.icarus-be.com/administrator/components/com_arismartcontent/kernel/Web/class.TaskManager.php(18) : eval()'d code on line 1

Also I had a top menu that now disappeared (Module = Top Drop Down Menu), can this be caused as well by the above message ?

When we open this link we don't see any error message. Did you do something? Or how we can see this error message?

I've been messing around myself a bit and found that it were the cache settings that caused an error.
Disactivating it helped to prevent seeing the message but I feel it is not the best solution.

You already helped me earlier on the top dropdown menu and you got it back alive but now suddenly I cannot find the reason why it stopped working again. As a temporary solution I've put in another dropdown menu (from Ari Soft), but honestly I prefer to go back to the old one because the style was a better fit for the website.

It would be great if you could take a look at the menu problem (but if not I can understand there it is not an ARI soft menu)

Could you temporary activate the menu what you want to use that we can see the issue that we have ability to investigate and fix it?

Sorry for the late response
I activated the module "Top Drop Down Menu" and a meny should appear under the searchbox but now I only see a grey bar, no menu at all.
