TOPIC: Passing variables to query

Passing variables to query 15 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi,

I'm considering purchasing this module but I'd like some more information on one aspect of the module's functionality. It's not clear when looking at the demo whether it's possible to pass in variables to the query, whether are bind variables or regular vars.

What I'd like to do is convert a spreadsheet into a database table and allow clients to sort and search the table, probably via a drop-down list or maybe a search box. Can this be done? Are there any examples I can look at?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Currently there is not possible to pass variables to the query. You can submit a feature request and we will think about adding such functionality in future.

ARI SQL table plugin allows to query database and render table by data from database and adds sort support. Demo and description can be viewed here.

Hi, I think this regards to the same topic.
I use sqltable and I want to provide the user further information to one set. Therefor I want that the user can click on one set and a popup opens where I get additional data from the DB and display it. Is it somehow possible with the ARI Smart Content Tools? I would be great if you could describe a possible solution.

Hello,

The feature you describe is rather specific. Currently there is not such functionality.

Anyway, some time later we plan to add ability to pass parameters in a queue and probably this will help you.
