how do I show links in tables using Smart Content? 14 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 0
I need urgently to show links whose html is stored in a csv file, or a MySQL table loaded from it, in a sortable, filterable table on a web page.
I have just bought the Smart Content full package but can't find it in the documentation; it seems to be available in the ARI Data Tables component, do I have to buy that as well to find out whether /how to do it?
I had assumed that the function might be buildable by wrapping one Smart Content plug-in with another? Does only ARI Data Tables do what I want and if so, can I get a refund on the Smart Content purchase and get ARI Data Tables, or add ARI Data Tables at a resonable price please??

Needed result is:

Airuno,<a href="italy-mainmenu-81/lombardia/lecco" title="Lecco Province">Lecco (Province)</a>

<a href="italy-mainmenu-81/lombardia/outside-the-cities" title="Lombardia outside the Cities">Bolgare</a>,Bergamo Province

displayed as
Airuno..........Lecco (Province)
Bolgare.......Bergamo Province
..
Boltiere.......Bergamo Province
etc

-to sort by 1st or second column (there are 12 Provinces and 1500 rows of Communes!)
- or to get Bolgare and others STARTING with Bol by entering that in search box?
---------------
error result of
{arisqltable}
{arisqltablecolumns}
{arisqltablecolumn id="ID" alias="ID" width="50%" className="idg"}
{arisqltablecolumn id="NAME" alias="UserName" headerClassName="head"}
{/arisqltablecolumn}
{/arisqltablecolumns}
{arisqltablequery}
SELECT commune_link AS ID,province_name AS NAME
FROM communes
{/arisqltablequery}
{/arisqltable}

is a completely blank screen (commune_link contains html tags);
if I add saveTags thus:
{arisqltablequery saveTags="true"}, then I get a Joomla screen with no Table display...
Plugin works ok for two columns containing just plain text

Thanks
Trevor

Hello,

Could you provide temporary access to your Joomla! backend that we can investigate this issue?

Yes, where do I send the details securely please? site is lowemissionzones.eu, content item is titled "Communes list" article 501. To see the front end result, you will need to log in there with the same id etc, page will be public when working as lowemissionzones.eu/countries-mainmenu-147/italy-mainmenu-81/lombardia/communes-list. The MySQL table communes I can send you an SQL export of or as .csv - it's content is not private although copyright.

That looks good now thanks, what did you do? I con't see that you installed the 'Big Article' plug-in, do I still need to do that?
I have to try now and wrap the rows now properly returned in the pagination/sort/search part, do you think I will be able to hack the on-the-fly to return words STARTING only with A, or AR, or ARG etc rather than anywhere in the string?
Thanks
