TOPIC: Problems when using two modules

Problems when using two modules 7 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
I'd like to display my social media in two places:

1) One in a module position (as stream)
2) Another in an article (as wall)

What I did:
I took the original module (which came pre-installed) and changed it to my liking and placed it into an actual module position. This worked instantly.

Then I made a copy of the first module, changed it to "wall", linked it to a new, fake module position and loaded that module position into the article ("loadposition").

This only worked partially because the module shows up but it is also displayed as a stream, using the exact same settings as the first module.

Now whenever I disable the first module, the second one is also gone. When I change any setting in the first module, it also affects the second one, while the settings of the second one are ignored.

Any ideas on why this is happening?

Hello,

Cold you provide a link to a page where the problem occurs and a temporary access to your J! backend by email so we can investigate the problem?

Thanks for the answer.

Update on my problem:
After clearing cache (of joomla and browser) and reloading the page the above mentioned problem disappeared.

However: Loading the module into an article by using "loadposition" does not work, no matter if the position is actually part of the theme or if it is a random position. (the "loadposition" works with other positions though, just not with one containing "ARI Social Harvester").

On the other hand "loadmodule" works (only if the module is not already in use elsewhere on the page) using the following syntax:
{loadmodule mod_arisocialharvester, ARI-Social-Harvester_Test}

(Where "ARI-Social-Harvester_Test" is the name of the module!)

See my testing page:

If you want to load the same module instance several times on one page, open "Extra options" tab on module settings page and set "Constant ID" parameter to "No".

Check also options on "Menu Assignment" tab, the module should be assigned to the page where it is loaded via {loadposition} or {loadmodule} shortcode.
