I'm moving a Joomla 1.0 site to 1.5. The 1.0 site is here: www.icarenc.org/index.php. It has 3 vertical menus (white separator) using an old component.

I have the 1.5 site here: www2.icarenc.org with YUI Menu.

Problems:

1) Main Menu (with Home, About the Center, etc) have submenus. In menu manager the parents are set correctly (I think) but the submenus display with the parent menu.

2) How do I get othermenu and usermenu to be YUI menus?

1. Set "End level" parameter to -1

2. Create new instance of "ARI YUI Menu" module, assign appropriate menu and module position with created module instance.

I set End Level to -1 and I get the same result. I actually had it set to -1 initially.

What else could keep the submenus from displaying as submenus?

We can investigate the problem if you provide temporary access to your J! backend by email.

Try now please. "sublevel" parameter for sub-menu items had invalid values. It could happen if you migrate from J! 1.0 to J! 1.5.

That fixed it! I need to also fix "othermenu". Where is the "sublevel" parameter that you changed? Can you indicate what was wrong so I will know how to fix it please?

Also, is it possible to have both a background image like I have with the circle image on the left and also have the arrow image appear at the right of the menu item for menu items that have a submenu?
