TOPIC: positioning sub-menu

Re:positioning sub-menu 14 Years ago Karma: 0
well.., if i simply change the width, the whole menu gets out of alignment. and i am using the "position:absolute;" to position the whole menu in the page, so its necessary (there is a main DIV element with position:relative; and then in it, all the other DIVs are position:absolute;. this is a popular trick and i dont know other which works so well cross browser).
any ideas on how i could actually make this happen?

i noticed that for the moment, the sub-menu is aligning itself to the left side of its parent button. is there a way to change that to the right?

You can play with "Submenu alignment" parameter and investigate module and site template structure and styles with help FireBug add-on for FireFox browser.

The module uses Menu widget from YUI library. It's open source and you can adapt it for your needs.

hi,
thanks for all your help.
unfortunately i cannot make much of it since i cannot find the place in the code which is responsible for positioning the menu.
this is a very basic option for a menu system- positioning, and i am sure there is a way to position even this specific menu.
please take a look at : kaplanoland.com/index.php
i have updated the code a little. i need to get the submenu to move about 100px to the left and a few pixels down. should i change the containing DIV positioning? i'd go for any solution at this point.
if the solution lies in changing some php code, please tell me in what file this code is since i was not able to find it.

another small probelm i have noticed is that for some reason, the first link on the sub menu does not work. can anyone tell why?

sorry for all this mess and thank you so much
